We have comprised a list of the most common questions that our brides and grooms have asked. We hope that the answers that we have provided will be helpful as you prepare for your joyous day.


1) Do you offer wedding or reception packages? What is included?

2) Can I use my own caterer or is there an in-house caterer that must be used?

3) What is the maximum number that Maple Winds can accommodate for a wedding or reception?

4) If reception is to be in a garden or on the estate grounds, can the area be tented?

5) Does Maple Winds provide tables, chairs, and linens?

6) Does Maple Winds provide a microphone?

7) Can things be moved around to decorate as we need it or do we have to leave as is?

8) Does Maple Winds provide china, silver, punch bowls, and other serving dishes?

9) Are there music restrictions concerning the type of music or length of time it may be played?

10) Are there regulations on photography or video taping?

11) Is there a piano or other musical instruments at the site? Is there a charge to use them?

1) Do you offer wedding or reception packages? What is included?

Yes, we offer several different packages with different services already included. Please check our services page for additional information.

2) Can I use my own caterer or is there an in-house caterer that must be used?

Due to special insurance requirements, we may or may not be able to use independent caterers, but please check with your Maple Winds Coordinator for more details.

3) What is the maximum number that Maple Winds can accommodate for a wedding or reception?

Maple Winds is especially suited for mid-size or smaller weddings. The estate can comfortably accommodate approximately 100 guests. If you anticipate more guests, please contact us for additional accommodations which may be available.

4) If reception is to be in a garden or on the estate grounds, can the area be tented?

Yes, tents may be rented though Maple Winds for an additional fee to meet your needs.

5) Does Maple Winds provide tables, chairs, and linens?

Yes, all of these items may be rented from Maple Winds at an exceptional low rate.

6) Does Maple Winds provide a microphone?

Yes, a microphone, stand, and four surround sound speakers are provided for outside weddings. A microphone is typically not needed for ceremonies held in the chapel.

7) Can things be moved around to decorate as we need it or do we have to leave as is?

Some small items may be able to be moved, but any items that you would like to move will need to be discussed with your Maple Winds Coordinator.

8) Does Maple Winds provide china, silver, punch bowls, and other serving dishes?

Yes, all of these items are typically included in our reception packages. Please see our services page for additional details.

9) Are there music restrictions concerning the type of music or length of time it may be played?

Recorded music of any type may be played during the time that you have reserved for your wedding. Live music may require some special accommodations, please check with you Maple Winds coordinator for specific details.

10) Are there regulations on photography or video taping?

No. However, Maple Winds does offer both of these services through our relationship with Bryan’s Photography.

11) Is there a piano or other musical instruments at the site? Is there a charge to use them?

A piano is available for use inside at no charge, but please inform your Maple Winds Coordinator that you would like to use it during the time you have reserved. You may also bring other instruments or musicians if you would like, but please inform you Maple Winds Coordinator so that they can make the necessary arrangements.

12) Will there be a supervisor for the event?

Yes, your Maple Winds Coordinator will be present to answer any questions and to help make sure the event goes as smoothly as possible.

13) Are there rooms available for the bride, groom and attendants to change into wedding attire or clothes for the reception?

Yes, Maple Winds has both a Bridal Suite and a Groomsmen Quarters that are included in most of our Wedding Packages.

14) Does Maple Winds have adequate parking?

Yes, we have ample parking. For weddings with more than 100 guests, special accommodations may need to be made. Please see your Maple Winds Coordinator for details.

15) Is there adequate kitchen space?

Yes, a full facility kitchen is available for your needs and is included in many of our wedding packages. Please visit our Gallery for pictures of the estate.

16) Is there an alternative location that can accommodate the guests in the event of bad weather?

Yes, an indoor location can be established as an alternative site for your wedding in the event of bad weather.

17) Is there a special location for the receiving line, guest book, and gift tables?

Yes, areas can be designated for each and a guest table is supplied in most wedding packages.

18) Are there adequate restroom facilities?

Yes, bathrooms are located on both floors for public use during your wedding.

19) What is the security deposit?

Maple Winds will require a security deposit with most reservations to secure the date and time for your wedding. This deposit may be used to cover any additional expenses, overtime charges, cancellations, or damages that may occur.

20) What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel your event, a full refund of your security deposit will be made if the cancellation notice is received by Maple Winds six (6) months prior to the event. Unless special circumstances apply, no refunds will be made after this time.

21) Are there certain seasons or times the wedding chapel can be reserved at a discounted rate?

Seasonal discount rates and special promotions may be available on certain rental fees. Please ask your Maple Winds Coordinator about these discounted rates when you prepare your wedding agreement.

22) Are there overtime charges?

Yes, unfortunately overtime charges will apply due to the necessity to keep staff available to meet all of the needs of the guests.

23) Do we need a Marriage License?

Yes, you will need a Tennessee Marriage License to be married at Maple Winds. You will also need your driver’s license, social security card, and divorce decree when applying for your marriage license. Tennessee County Clerks Offices are open Monday through Friday.
